• Cultivate and invite high-value donor relationships to drive near-term and long-term revenue growth for mission impact • Manage a caseload of 100–120 donor and prospect relationships, primarily individual donors • Build and develop partnerships capable of gifts greater than $10,000 • Conduct virtual and face-to-face qualification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship meetings • Create clear strategies and timelines for each donor and prospect • Meet or exceed individual and annual fundraising revenue goals • Engage personal and professional networks and identify connections between donors and partners • Work with prospect development and research to identify and cultivate new partners • Identify, cultivate, and solicit planned, blended, and asset-based gifts • Maintain donor records and document communications in the CRM within one week of contact • Update opportunities regularly for accurate forecasting • Meet core lead indicators, including donor visits, qualification attempts, relational touches, and relational moves • Collaborate with the major gifts team and report to the Senior Director of Philanthropy, Major Gifts • Travel approximately 40–60% of work time for donor meetings, partner meetings, conferences, field events, headquarters visits, and occasional international travel
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience • Minimum of 5+ years in relationship fundraising or sales with a clear record of achievement in a complex, mission-driven organization • Knowledge of basic planned giving vehicles, non-cash gifts, tax, financial, and estate planning concepts • Experience using a donor CRM; Salesforce preferred • Experience with Microsoft Office applications • Personal commitment to Jesus Christ • Identify with and participate in a Christian church and proactively seek to grow in Christian faith • Actively participate in organizational prayer, devotional times, organization-wide events, and regular work-related spiritual activities • Maintain exemplary Christian ethics, behavior, and conduct • Demonstrate Christian maturity and alignment with American Bible Society's vision, mission, values, and biblical goals • Ability to work Central or Mountain time-zone hours with 4–6 hours of overlap with ABS core hours • Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings or weekends • Reasonable access to a major airport • Current driver's license required • Must pass a background check • Satisfactory reference checks required • Proof of eligibility to work in the United States • Must sign and uphold the ABS Affirmation of Biblical Community
