• Partner with ACC leadership and business line leaders to identify strategic opportunities aligned with emerging therapeutic areas, scientific priorities, and industry needs • Lead innovative partnership concepts leveraging ACC’s clinical expertise, scientific credibility, educational capabilities, quality improvement programs, registry and data assets, and convening power • Serve as executive relationship lead for strategic pharmaceutical and life sciences partners • Develop and manage executive relationships with pharmaceutical, biotechnology, life sciences, and healthcare organizations • Build and manage a strategic corporate partnership portfolio focused on long-term growth, partner retention, and new business development • Develop knowledge of ACC capabilities across education, innovation, science and quality, clinical policy, publications, NCDR, data and analytics, market intelligence, patient education, and global health • Lead complex partnership proposals, business cases, budgets, revenue projections, contracts, and multi-year collaboration strategies • Identify enterprise-wide partnership opportunities addressing partner priorities across the product lifecycle • Collaborate across ACC business units to design integrated partnership solutions • Deliver executive presentations and facilitate strategic discussions with C-suite leaders and cross-functional industry teams • Articulate ACC’s value as a cardiovascular professional society and differentiate its capabilities • Ensure partnerships comply with ACC policies and industry standards, including ACCME, PhRMA, AdvaMed, FDA guidance, and other relevant requirements
• Bachelor’s degree required • 8–10 years of progressively responsible experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, life sciences, healthcare consulting, medical society, or related healthcare business development • Background in medical/clinical, science, or health sciences preferred • Demonstrated success developing and managing strategic partnerships with pharmaceutical and biotechnology organizations • Strong understanding of pharmaceutical commercialization, Medical Affairs, Clinical Development, Market Access, HEOR, and healthcare delivery • Proven ability to build executive relationships and influence senior internal and external stakeholders • Demonstrated success leading complex, enterprise-level business development opportunities from concept through execution • Strategic thinking, negotiation, proposal development, presentation, and executive communication skills • Experience working in highly matrixed organizations and meeting or exceeding revenue and partnership objectives • Ability to travel up to 25%, including participation in major cardiovascular and life sciences meetings and events at ACC Heart House • Working knowledge of ACCME, PhRMA, AdvaMed, FDA guidance, and other relevant compliance requirements
