📋 Description

• Coordinate and produce The Splendid Table • Direct voice-tracking sessions and interview recordings • Produce, assemble, edit, mix, and QC show segments • Create promos and distribute audio files and metadata to broadcast and podcast systems • Manage production workflows and processes for The Splendid Table • Edit and produce engaging audio and video content • Administer content distribution systems for radio and podcast episode creation, rundowns, promos, and file delivery • Participate in editorial planning and content planning sessions • Maintain high standards of audio/video production and technical knowledge • Maintain the production elements library • Collaborate with hosts, directors, producers, Media Operations, internal departments, and external partners • Provide technical support for APM stations and affiliates • Operate Dalet, Pro Tools, DaVinci Resolve, Axia, and interview-recording equipment such as Comrex Access, LiveU, Opal, and Riverside • Respond to requests for audio files, technical assistance, and planning details • Test, connect, and monitor codecs and recording equipment • Operate digital audio recording devices and interfaces for in-house and field recording • Provide customer service to internal colleagues and external constituents • Support remotes, live broadcasts, podcast production, archive, interview recording, and general studio operations • Help integrate video production into The Splendid Table workflow • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or five or more years experience as an audio engineer or producer • Three or more years experience as an audio engineer or producer • Experience creating and producing radio features, sound pieces, and cultural programming • Knowledge and experience with computer-based audio technologies and audio editing software • Computer literacy with experience using PC and Mac platforms • Flexibility under deadline pressure and ability to handle multiple responsibilities • Understanding of different types of music and their uses in radio and podcast production • Thorough knowledge of best practices for radio and podcast production, compelling programming, promos, branding, and signature sound • Demonstrated ability with video editing software and video production techniques • Ability to operate independently and in a team environment • Effective written and oral communication • Knowledge and skill in operating signal processing equipment and digital plug-ins, including equalizers, compressors, limiters, de-essers, reverb, and other digital effects • Expert fluency in several digital audio workstation varieties; Pro Tools experience preferred • Ability to train technical and non-technical staff on audio/video equipment and production systems • Knowledge of audio consoles, microphones, mic pre-amps, patch bays/routers, multi-track recorders, AD/DA converters, and related audio equipment • Project planning, communications, teamwork, problem-solving, and technical troubleshooting skills • Excellent customer service skills • Preferred: digital production and content management systems, video editing/production, graphic design and layering, video lighting, editorial processes or journalism, and project management • Must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States; employment visa sponsorship is unavailable • Must be able to perform essential duties with or without reasonable accommodation • Able to work weekends, evenings, and holidays when required • Able to lift audio and video equipment up to 50 lbs
