📋 Description

• Oversee the entire operation and outcome of assigned properties within the American Campus portfolio • Implement leasing and marketing strategies to maximize occupancy and rental rate growth • Guide property finances, including rent and fee collection, purchasing, vendor and expense management, and budget compliance • Oversee facilities management, curb appeal, preventive maintenance, and annual move-out/move-in turnover • Ensure properties and employees are hired, trained, supported, and aligned with American Campus standards • Serve as operations liaison between Property Management and Corporate Support Departments • Oversee Risk Management/Loss Prevention Programs and management contract obligations where applicable • Supervise hiring, training, termination, development, and rewards for property management staff • Conduct weekly meetings/calls and maintain daily staff contact as appropriate • Perform after-hours duties as needed • Oversee community standards, resident programming, student/staff/resident development, and customer service • Oversee leasing, marketing, rent collection, expense management, receivables, vendor contracts, invoices, and profitability • Foster relationships and ongoing communication with university representatives and officials • Update the corporate office on university relations and communications • Interview, hire, train, assign, direct, appraise, reward, and discipline employees; address complaints and resolve problems • Coach, train, and develop teams while managing project workflow, prioritization, and timely completion

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business; or 8 years’ experience in the student/multi-family housing industry; or equivalent combination of education and experience • Skills in leasing and marketing, customer service, facility management, budgeting, supervision, business administration, public relations, residence life, and a combination of business and student development skills • Demonstrated leadership skills • Extensive travel required
