• Develop and execute a communications and marketing strategy for the Northern Rockies region • Plan and execute events including speaking engagements, webinars, film showings, field tours, and fundraising events • Lead storytelling efforts through blogs, social media posts, e-newsletters, action alerts, factsheets, photos, video, and other materials • Build and maintain relationships with media members and regional influencers • Coordinate regional media relations, draft press statements and talking points, respond to outreach, and help implement rapid-response communications • Collaborate with the national communications and marketing team on brand, voice, messaging, strategy, and coordination • Track and analyze metrics to evaluate communications and public engagement effectiveness • Manage content calendars, deadlines, and budgets for outreach and communications projects • Support contract and consultant management as needed • Develop timely “take action” opportunities for members and supporters in the Northern Rockies region
• Advanced degree and 2 years of relevant experience, or undergraduate degree and 3 years of relevant experience in conservation, marketing, communication, or journalism • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Ability to manage complex project timelines and coordinate multiple campaign efforts • Experience with digital content production tools • Interest and willingness to experiment with new communications tactics • Experience or interest working with local and regional journalists • Strong familiarity with Northern Rockies conservation issues, politics, and culture • Ability and willingness to travel regionally, including occasional off-hours or field work • Comfort prioritizing work in high-pace environments and meeting regular, variable deadlines • Love and passion for rivers • Must live within one hour’s drive of Jackson, Wyoming • Must be legally allowed to work as an employee in the United States
