📋 Description

• Investigate and maintain property claims • Secure information, review coverages, complete field inspections, and settle claims • Handle moderately complex homeowner property field claims • Occasionally handle desk claims • Investigate origin and cause of claims by contacting insureds, claimants, agents, attorneys, contractors, experts, special investigation units, adjusters, and public personnel • Identify complex issues and seek assistance as needed • Handle 1st-party and 3rd-party claims under multiple policy types and endorsements • Conduct on-site inspections, evaluate damages, and negotiate claims • Respond to customer inquiries, make decisions, and close files • Interpret policies, leases, by-laws, declarations, articles, and contract coverages • Provide claim process and status updates and answer or redirect questions • Complete additional assignments, duties, or projects as needed • Report to the Property Claim Manager • Spend approximately 80% of time in the field

🎯 Requirements

• Demonstrated experience providing customer-driven solutions, support, or service • Demonstrated experience handling 1st and 3rd party, multi-line claims across operating territories, or equivalent experience • Demonstrated experience handling moderately complex claims, or equivalent experience • Solid knowledge of policies and endorsements related to casualty coverages, or equivalent knowledge • Solid knowledge of each phase of the claim handling process, or equivalent knowledge • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record • Obtain state-specific property casualty claims licensing as required • Hands-on property field claims experience • Proven ability to write clear, accurate, and timely estimates in Xactimate • Ability to travel up to 50% • Catastrophe duty up to 75% as applicable • Ability to perform field work, including ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles, tight/confined spaces, and hazardous environments • Ability to adjust or move objects up to 50 pounds • Must pass applicable background checks • Must sign a non-disclosure agreement • Sponsorship will not be considered unless specified in the posting
