📋 Description

• Identify, pursue, and sell retained executive search engagements and advisory solutions to academic medical centers, health systems, and medical schools • Partner with Deans, CEOs, CMOs, Chairs, and Department Chiefs to understand priorities and provide consultative recruitment solutions • Participate in proposal development, client presentations, and pitch meetings • Lead full-cycle executive searches from intake and strategy development through candidate identification, assessment, offer negotiation, and placement • Develop recruiting strategies covering target institutions, peer organizations, leadership benchmarks, and diversity considerations • Conduct intake meetings and synthesize requirements involving academic rank, faculty appointments, research expectations, clinical operations, and governance • Provide client status updates and market insights throughout engagements • Identify, recruit, engage, and assess senior leader and physician executive candidates • Advise candidates navigating academic medicine leadership transitions • Build long-term client relationships that generate repeat engagements and expanded partnerships • Provide thought leadership and market intelligence on executive talent trends in academic medicine • Collaborate with internal search teams to achieve client and candidate outcomes

🎯 Requirements

• Associate’s Degree with 5–7 years of experience in Academic Executive Search and business development • High School Diploma/GED with 7–9 years of Academic Executive Search and business development • Exceptional interpersonal and consultative communication skills • Ability to influence and build credibility with senior academic and physician leaders • Ability to assess complex executive, physician, and academic leadership profiles • Strong business development mindset with ability to identify opportunities and close retained engagements • Strategic thinking and ability to quickly grasp new subject matter and institutional dynamics • Strong organization, project management, and execution skills • Self-directed, entrepreneurial, and comfortable operating autonomously in a team-based environment • Preferred: executive search experience within academic medicine, healthcare, or higher education • Preferred: experience recruiting C-suite, physician, and senior academic leaders • Preferred: track record working with large academic medical centers, teaching hospitals, or schools of medicine • Ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards
