📋 Description

• Create and modify project design documents and drawings, including substation one-lines, three-lines, control schematics, wiring diagrams, relay panel arrangements and specifications, conduit and cable sizing/routing, and bills of material • Design auxiliary AC and DC power systems • Develop SCADA systems and communications interfaces • Integrate protection, control, automation, and monitoring systems across project teams • Perform relay burden, voltage drop, short-circuit, battery sizing, and auxiliary AC/DC load calculations • Perform relay coordination studies and prepare relay settings • Coordinate project activities with project managers, clients, engineers, designers, and drafters • Coordinate and deliver materials to project sites • Independently perform site walk-downs to scope project requirements when needed • Help create project cost estimates for substation protection and control upgrade projects • Provide guidance to entry-level electrical engineers • Work as part of a team of experienced electrical engineers

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an ABET-accredited university in Electrical Engineering • Minimum 2 years of experience in relay protection and control design of high-voltage 12–500 kV substations • Strong understanding of a utility-level substation project lifecycle • Excellent technical communication • Detail-oriented work practices • Engineer in Training (EIT) designation preferred, but not required • Completion of the Culture Index assessment • Ability to work remotely from home Monday–Friday
