📋 Description

• Work with cross-functional engineering teams including RF, DSP, Firmware, FPGA, software, and Test to deliver robust embedded processing solutions for communications and networking • Execute and optimize the FPGA firmware implementation lifecycle from MATLAB/Simulink algorithms and requirements definition through architecture, design, development, implementation, testing, integration, support, and sustainment • Establish and optimize product development workflows and best practices across the HDL firmware lifecycle, including architecture, design, simulation, verification, and system testing • Develop microprocessor ICDs between FPGA and message/data handling schemes

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent • Demonstrated experience working with cross-functional hardware and/or embedded systems product development teams, taking firmware and software from concept to production • 6+ years of experience designing, implementing, and verifying FPGA-based systems using VHDL or Verilog • Experience using code-generators to translate MATLAB/Simulink algorithms into FPGA implementations • Proficient in C and C++ • Experience with RTOS (Real Time Operating Systems) • Familiarity with common MCU, CPU, FPGA devices and technologies • Familiarity with standard interfaces such as Ethernet, I2C, SPI, PCIe, USB, etc. • Familiarity with flight software architectures and development processes for embedded systems • Proficiency with basic EE test equipment and testing PCBAs • Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance • Preferred: experience with wireless communications systems, computer networking, AI-generated software, enhanced security measures, high-reliability aerospace designs, aircraft systems architectures, DO-254, DO-178C, DO-160, DO-311A, MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-704, MIL-STD-461, and complex communications board designs
