📋 Description

• Work with a cross-functional engineering team spanning RF, DSP, Firmware, FPGA, software, and Test to deliver robust embedded processing solutions for communications and networking • Execute and optimize the FPGA firmware implementation development lifecycle from MATLAB/Simulink algorithms and requirements definition through architecture, design, development, firmware implementation, test, integration, support, and sustainment for low-cost FPGAs, SoCs, and SoMs • Establish and optimize comprehensive product development workflows and best practices across the HDL firmware lifecycle, including architecture, design, simulation, verification, and system testing • Develop microProcessor ICDs between FPGA and message/data handling schemes

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent • Demonstrated experience working with cross-functional hardware and/or embedded systems product development teams, taking firmware and software from concept to production • 10+ years of experience designing, implementing, and verifying FPGA-based systems using VHDL or Verilog • Experience using code-generators to translate MATLAB/Simulink algorithms into FPGA implementations • Proficient in C and C++ • Experience with RTOS (Real Time Operating Systems) • Familiarity with common MCU, CPU, FPGA devices and technologies • Familiarity with standard interfaces such as Ethernet, I2C, SPI, PCIe, USB, etc. • Familiarity with flight software architectures and development processes for embedded systems • Proficiency with basic EE test equipment, including oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and signal generators, and testing PCBAs • Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance • Experience with wireless communications systems • Expertise in computer networking • Experience with AI-generated software such as CoPilot, Claude, and Code-GPT • Experience with implementing enhanced security measures • Familiarity with high reliability designs in aerospace environments • Familiarity with aircraft systems architectures, especially redundant systems • Understanding and familiarity with DO-254, DO-178C, DO-160, and DO-311A • Understanding and familiarity with MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-704, and MIL-STD-461 • Experience designing, testing, and troubleshooting complex board designs in communications systems
