📋 Description

• Provide comprehensive occupational safety and health consulting services to clients • Review existing safety and health programs for regulatory compliance and effectiveness • Conduct shop floor observations to identify, assess, and risk-rank employee injury exposures • Devise and implement solutions to mitigate employee injury exposures • Monitor the effectiveness of implemented solutions • Conduct industrial hygiene sampling • Coordinate and execute industrial safety projects with Apex project managers • Design, implement, and execute agreed service plans with customers • Monitor and report progress on plan completion • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to achieve project velocity • Advise customers on occupational safety and health issues • Provide input on potential new EHS support projects • Provide project leadership and project management as needed • Routinely walk large customer sites, potentially a quarter or half mile to reach work locations

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required, ideally in a science or engineering field • Minimum 10 years of experience in the industrial safety and health field • Experience in manufacturing and assembly industries or heavy industry settings is a plus • Experience in the aerospace and defense or automotive industry is a further plus • Extensive knowledge of occupational safety technical subject matter and practical application • Knowledge of shop floor hazard identification surveys • Knowledge of job safety analysis/job hazard analysis • Employee injury data analysis • Machine guarding • Slip/trip/fall prevention • Confined space entry • Personal protective equipment • Safety committees and conducting safety meetings/training • Broad understanding of OSHA regulations • Industrial hygiene worker exposure monitoring and sampling • Strong interpersonal communication skills • Creativity and self-starter initiative • Ability to plan and accomplish goals using experience and judgment • Ability to ensure EHS regulatory compliance and monitor changes to laws and regulations • Strong technical writing skills • Ability to successfully multitask • Safety awareness and understanding of safe work practices • Experience with data management and report preparation • Valid driver's license required • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
