📋 Description

• Design and build systems for API discovery, schema understanding, and safe agent-to-API orchestration at enterprise scale • Own search, ranking, relevance, or query-planning problems central to how agents find and use APIs and data • Prototype quickly, evaluate multiple algorithmic approaches, and iterate based on customer-pilot learnings • Build and evaluate agentic systems, including tool-calling frameworks, agent orchestration, and observability/evaluation tooling • Collaborate with a small, high-context team and influence architecture and direction • Engage with select enterprise customers piloting Constellation to understand usage patterns • Communicate technical tradeoffs to technical leadership and help shape the roadmap • Contribute to Apollo's Constellation control plane for AI agents, enabling safe discovery, understanding, and coordination across enterprise APIs

🎯 Requirements

• Hands-on, production experience owning a search, ranking, relevance, or query-planning system at real scale • Experience designing and iterating on underlying search, ranking, relevance, or query-planning logic, rather than only integrating a third-party search tool • Experience trying multiple algorithmic approaches to a hard retrieval or ranking problem and explaining the tradeoffs • Comfort defining problems in ambiguous environments and adapting to rapidly shifting priorities • Clear communication and ability to work in a small, fast-moving team with minimal process overhead • Growth mindset • Production experience with Rust is a strong plus but not required • Experience building agent orchestration, tool-calling frameworks, or agent evaluation/observability systems • Experience with RAG systems and ownership of retrieval quality • Background in distributed query engines, federated query planning, or database query optimization • Must be authorized to work in the United States or Canada; visa sponsorship requirement is addressed during application
