📋 Description

• Own the technical strategy for strategic accounts and complex sales campaigns as a co-seller with Account Executives • Share accountability for pipeline health and revenue contribution • Lead customer roadmap sessions, transformation workshops, and executive visioning discussions • Connect customer objectives to Appian capabilities • Lead the scoping, design, and delivery of custom technical Proofs of Concept and Proofs of Value • Understand and integrate Appian into complex enterprise IT environments, including core banking, CRM, data, workflow, AI, partner solutions, and modern web or enterprise development systems • Direct technical responses and functional strategy for RFIs, RFPs, security reviews, and architecture discussions • Convey customer requirements to Product Management teams to influence the product roadmap • Coach peers and lead field enablement sessions • Contribute reusable assets, blueprints, and customer success stories to scale best practices • Serve as a trusted advisor for financial services firms, partners, sales leadership, and product teams • Translate financial services requirements into technical solutions within Appian’s Enterprise-Grade Orchestration ecosystem

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology, Business Information Technology, or a related technical or business field • 8+ years of successful experience as a Pre-Sales Engineer, Solutions Consultant, or related enterprise software pre-sales professional, OR 10+ years in a client-facing Professional Services or technical consulting role heavily involved in enterprise sales scenarios • Recent hands-on programming experience or technical fluency using languages such as Java, JavaScript, Python, C#, or C++ • Database proficiency in SQL, HTML, and XML • Exceptional communication and influencing skills • Proven ability to conduct deep discovery, analyze requirements, present to executives, and engage C-level audiences • Willingness to travel up to 50% to customer locations throughout the assigned region • Prior experience selling into the Financial Services landscape is preferred • Experience with application development platforms, AI-enabled automation, or case management frameworks is preferred • Experience contributing reusable demos, technical assets, enablement content, or industry points of view is preferred • Experience with enterprise platforms is valued
