📋 Description

• Oversee the medical care and rehabilitation of individuals recovering from auto injuries • Attend client appointments and meetings as needed and travel within the service area • Receive and process referrals from insurance companies, physicians, or direct clients • Create and maintain organized digital and physical case files • Maintain accurate and current case documentation for compliance and reporting • Assess medical, emotional, and rehabilitation needs and coordinate necessary treatments • Serve as liaison between clients, physicians, therapists, and insurance carriers • Track treatment progress, including medications, therapies, and medical appointments • Coordinate medical supplies, home modifications, and rehabilitation equipment as needed • Educate clients and families about injury recovery, treatment options, and rehabilitation • Generate case progress reports detailing medical care and rehabilitation milestones • Maintain contact sheets and documentation for billing and reporting • Use case management software to track client progress, follow-up tasks, and deadlines • Collaborate with insurance adjusters and other professionals to provide timely updates and assist with claims processing • Ensure compliance with workers’ compensation regulations, insurance guidelines, and internal protocols • Assist with reviewing and approving case documentation for billing and claims submission • Advocate for injured workers’ physical and emotional well-being and support safe, effective return-to-work outcomes

🎯 Requirements

• Active, valid and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license required • Minimum of 3 years of clinical nursing experience • Prior experience in medical case management required • Direct experience in workers' compensation, occupational health, or disability case management strongly preferred, but not required • Experience in hospital, orthopedic, or rehabilitation settings is a plus • Strong understanding of medical terminology, clinical practices, and workers' compensation laws • Ability to exercise independent clinical judgment and make decisions that impact case outcomes • Excellent written and verbal interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills • Strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and confidentiality standards • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple cases effectively • Proficiency in medical documentation, electronic health records (EHR), and case management software • Knowledge of auto injury recovery processes and insurance systems • Ability to travel locally for field appointments • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required • Multilingual proficiency is a plus • Preferred certifications: Certified Case Manager (CCM), Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse (CRRN), Certified Life Care Planner (CLCP), Certified Legal Nurse Consultant (CLNC), Certified Brain Injury Specialist (CBIS), Certified Occupational Health Nurse (COHN)
