📋 Description

• Serve as the clinical department owner of data analysis, visualization, and performance reporting across psychiatry, therapy, and case management • Synthesize clinical, quality, patient-safety, and operational data to identify trends, define priorities, and translate findings into clinical initiatives and program improvements • Develop, implement, and evaluate sustainable solutions that strengthen quality, safety, consistency of care, and adherence to organizational standards • Oversee the student precepting program and supervisory programs for Advanced Practice Providers and Associate Therapists • Lead implementation and evaluation of clinical initiatives, pilots, and practice improvements • Identify opportunities to improve clinical quality, patient safety, continuity of care, and adherence to standards • Analyze clinical reviews, competency evaluations, documentation, clinician support requests, onboarding outcomes, and patient-care and operational data • Evaluate intervention outcomes and communicate trends, risks, progress, and recommendations to the CEED Director • Manage and improve the student precepting program, including preceptor support, academic partner coordination, and program evaluation • Develop precepting as a workforce-development and recruitment pathway • Monitor talent acquisition, onboarding timelines, and contract needs; coordinate supervising physician allocations, recruitment, and onboarding • Coordinate the clinical supervisor program for associate therapists, including supervisory hours, documentation, state board compliance, and supervisor support • Oversee program management for business lines including Collaborative Care Management (CoCM) • Monitor regulatory requirements across current and prospective states of operation • Develop implementation plans for regulatory changes and integrate requirements into clinical practice • Develop and refine documentation templates, policies, workflows, and guidance • Identify clinical practice gaps and education needs using peer review, competency evaluations, performance trends, CEED AI tool monitoring, support requests, and priorities • Partner with Clinical Education & Excellence Managers on training, resources, and clinician support • Provide clinical subject-matter expertise for educational content and practice-improvement decisions • Provide clinical leadership, coaching, and direction to assigned direct reports • Establish priorities, expectations, and accountability for assigned programs and quality-improvement activities • Oversee execution of assigned work aligned with CEED priorities and organizational objectives • Spend 50% of time in clinical direct patient care and 50% in administrative work

🎯 Requirements

• Maintain an active, unrestricted PMHNP-BC or PA-C license appropriate to role requirements in both the state of primary residence and the state(s) in which direct patient care is provided • Willingness to obtain additional state licensure as requested by Ascend Healthcare • Minimum of 2+ years practicing in the specialty of psychiatry • Demonstrated experience in clinical education and clinician development, quality and competency review, or clinical leadership and performance improvement • Experience in behavioral health, outpatient psychiatry, therapy, integrated care, or Community Health Center/FQHC environments preferred • Proficiency with data visualization platforms such as Power BI, clinical data analysis, Microsoft Office tools, electronic medical records, and virtual communication technologies • Strong understanding of clinical quality, documentation and regulatory standards, and evidence-based practice within the assigned service line • Ability to develop practical, clinician-facing tools that promote adoption and consistent care delivery • Strong collaboration, coaching, organization, communication, and problem-solving skills • Ability to work Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm, with preference for Arizona time • Access to a quiet, dedicated workspace with reliable internet connectivity • Successful completion of background checks and drug screenings as a condition of employment
