📋 Description

• Advise business leaders on insurance regulatory and corporate legal matters • Provide guidance on privacy, AI governance, corporate compliance, and emerging regulations • Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements and regulatory filings • Collaborate with Product, Claims, Compliance, and Actuarial teams to support compliant insurance offerings • Support corporate governance initiatives, board reporting, and policy development • Manage regulatory inquiries, examinations, and market conduct matters • Monitor legislative and regulatory developments impacting the insurance industry • Identify legal risks while helping business leaders achieve strategic objectives • Partner with executive leadership and cross-functional teams across multiple locations and time zones

🎯 Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school • Active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction • California law license is required • 5-10 years of legal experience in insurance law, regulatory compliance, corporate governance, and corporate transactions • Deep understanding of personal auto insurance products and regulatory frameworks • Experience advising cross-functional business partners and executive leadership • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to translate complex legal concepts into practical business guidance • Strong communication, organization, and time management skills • Ability to work standard business hours with occasional flexibility • Ability to travel up to 10-15%
