📋 Description

• Draft, review, and negotiate leases and other legal documents for every department of the Company • Perform legal research and interpret existing legal documents to determine the Company’s legal rights and obligations • Review document requests from the leasing department and resolve inconsistencies • Prepare lease documents using required information and prior negotiated language • Review tenant comments and requests • Discuss business points with leasing representatives and suggest solutions balancing tenant concerns and Company interests • Negotiate business and legal points with tenants’ legal contacts and obtain internal approvals • Revise documents based on negotiations and management direction • Review executed documents to ensure they reflect negotiations and approvals and commence execution • Review requests for non-lease-related legal documents from various departments • Clarify project scope with department representatives • Prepare or revise documents to address legal and business concerns • Negotiate non-lease-related documents and obtain appropriate internal approvals

🎯 Requirements

• J.D. from accredited law school • Licensed to practice law in one state • 0-4 years of drafting and negotiating retail space leases • Ability to use company-issued software proficiently, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Office 365, internet browser programs, and Workday • Up to 5% travel required • Must be able to travel via commercial airlines • Must maintain a valid driver’s license and safely operate own vehicle or rental car • Background check will be conducted • Adhere to Tanger’s values: Integrity, Inclusion and Innovation
