📋 Description

• Manage active and potential litigation, including lawsuits, demand letters, and other legal threats • Oversee outside counsel, litigation holds, e-discovery, document collection, and court filings • Investigate disputes, assess legal exposure, develop litigation strategy, and negotiate resolutions • Advise business teams on patent, trademark, copyright, right-of-publicity, and other intellectual property matters • Support the patent-harvesting program by evaluating innovations and working with outside patent prosecution counsel • Manage trademark registration requests and pursue infringers, impersonators, and unauthorized uses across digital channels • Identify litigation risks and respond to regulatory inquiries and customer complaints • Provide practical guidance on day-to-day legal issues • Develop, implement, and enforce artificial intelligence governance policies and guardrails • Support commercial litigation, represent the company in small claims matters, and advise on other legal matters as business needs evolve • Report to the Senior Corporate Counsel

🎯 Requirements

• A Juris Doctor from an American Bar Association-accredited law school • At least four years of relevant law firm experience • Active membership in good standing with the Massachusetts Bar or the ability to be admitted as in-house counsel in Massachusetts • Substantial experience with intellectual property litigation involving patents, trademarks, copyrights, name, image and likeness, and right of publicity • Experience managing complex litigation and discovery processes, including case strategy and working with outside counsel and cross-functional partners • Strong legal and business judgment with a practical, solutions-oriented approach • Strong interpersonal, analytical, and influencing skills • Ability to translate complex legal issues into clear, actionable guidance • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Strong attention to detail • Ability to manage multiple priorities independently and collaboratively • May be required to obtain a gaming license issued by the appropriate state agency as a condition of employment
