📋 Description

• Manage assigned regulatory compliance activities, including complaint handling, regulatory research, compliance reviews, audits, examinations, process reviews, and regulatory communications • Review and analyze laws, regulations, bulletins, and guidance to determine business impact and recommend actions • Evaluate business processes, procedures, forms, and operational practices to identify compliance risks and improvement opportunities • Investigate regulatory complaints, gather documentation, coordinate with internal business units, and prepare regulatory responses • Conduct regulatory research and summarize findings for Compliance leadership and business stakeholders • Assist with internal and external audits, market conduct examinations, regulatory inquiries, and compliance reviews • Prepare reports, documentation, correspondence, and other materials for regulatory activities and leadership reporting • Collaborate with Legal, Product, Claims, Underwriting, Customer Service, Operations, and other business units to resolve regulatory issues and implement compliance requirements • Monitor regulatory developments and assist with implementing changes to policies, procedures, workflows, and operational practices • Identify trends, process gaps, and operational risks and recommend corrective actions or process improvements • Maintain accurate records, documentation, and tracking tools for assigned regulatory activities • Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned • Provide guidance, training, and support to team members • Represent the Company professionally when interacting with regulators, external requestors, and internal stakeholders

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent experience in compliance, regulatory affairs, insurance operations, or a related field considered • 5+ years of experience in regulatory affairs, compliance, complaint handling, audits, insurance operations, or a related discipline • Strong Personal Auto underwriting background • Knowledge of insurance operations, regulatory requirements, complaint handling standards, and compliance practices • Ability to evaluate processes, identify trends, interpret data, and recommend improvements • Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and competing responsibilities • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Ability to provide guidance, training, and support to team members • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) • Ability to exercise sound judgment, maintain confidentiality, and adapt to changing business priorities • Ability to develop effective working relationships with Regulatory Affairs staff, Legal Counsel, cross-functional business units, and external partners • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with regulators, external requestors, leadership, peers, and stakeholders • Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks • Must be comfortable navigating multiple systems and screens simultaneously • Must adhere to company privacy and confidentiality standards
