📋 Description

• Perform medical coding for rehabilitation services • Work remotely with hours varying based on the operational needs of the department • Support billing, insurance, and medical coding functions

🎯 Requirements

• Medical Coding education required • In lieu of a Medical Coding education, an active coding certification is required • High School diploma or equivalent preferred • Associate's degree in a healthcare related field preferred • 1 year of progressive coding experience required • 2 years progressive coding experience in multiple specialties, HCC Risk adjustment Coding preferred • One of the following certifications required upon hire: Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Certified Outpatient Coder (COC), Certified Inpatient Coder (CIC), Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), Certified Coding Specialist Physician-Based (CCS-P), Certified Coding Associate (CCA), Certified Risk Adjustment Coder (CRC), Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT), or Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) • Must be in an approved remote work state for UW Health
