📋 Description

• Encode terms reported as adverse events and medical history, as well as prior and concomitant medications, using industry-accepted dictionaries such as MedDRA and WHODrug • Perform coding according to departmental coding conventions and company SOPs • Generate queries to clarify potentially discrepant data • Assist with data coding consistency reviews and SAE reconciliation as needed • Collaborate with medical monitors and Clinical and Data Management team members to ensure timely processing according to project timelines • Assist in interdepartmental training of new staff as needed

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or related health science background • Commensurate experience considered in lieu of a 4-year degree • 2+ years industry experience in pharmacovigilance, clinical research, and/or clinical data management • Experience with MedDRA and WHODD preferred • Working knowledge of medical terminology, clinical trials, and coding • Excellent written and oral skills • Ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams • Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work • Working knowledge of coding tools such as Medidata RAVE Coder, TMS, and Veeva
