• Function as the highest escalation point under operations leadership for accommodation-related issues • Manage executive and non-executive escalation responses • Handle highly sensitive and HR-for-HR cases for an assigned region • Manage nesting plans, conduct new hire audits, and coach new hires • Review quality audit results and report regional trends and process-improvement opportunities • Manage workflow adjustments, out-of-office procedures, and work assignments • Analyze regional case volume, case types, and approval data to influence training and process decisions • Recommend training initiatives, provide survey feedback, and share best practices • Collaborate with leave case managers and disability vendors on return-to-work management • Consult and coach regional HR partners, managers, and employees on accommodation matters • Provide information, referrals, and support to employees with medical conditions or disabilities • Facilitate escalated communication among employees, HR, managers, and leave-related stakeholders • Coordinate with disability and leave services management and legal partners on escalated issues • Manage sensitive behavioral health cases with discretion and appropriate escalation • Assist in identifying essential and marginal job functions for accommodation decisions • Conduct job site analyses to evaluate job demands and potential accommodations • Explain work restrictions, functional limitations, and legal rights and responsibilities to employees • Maintain confidentiality and safeguard sensitive information • Stay current on federal, state, and local legislation affecting disability access and accommodations • Maintain accurate case records and notes in case management systems and designated databases • Assess training needs and deliver or support group training sessions • Provide professional opinions and documentation for grievances, arbitration, depositions, and other forums • Adhere to SLAs and quality standards while managing a high volume of complex cases
• Bachelor's degree, or 4+ years of equivalent professional or military experience • At least 3 years of experience in leave of absence, disability case management, ADA/ADAAA accommodations, human resources, or a closely related field • Working knowledge of federal and state leave and disability regulations, including ADA/ADAAA and FMLA • Experience managing cases from initiation through resolution in a case management system • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex information clearly to employees, managers, and HR partners, both verbally and in writing • Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism • Proficiency with MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint • Ability to prioritize and manage a high volume of cases and tasks with minimal guidance in a fast-paced environment • Strong human resources knowledge related to leave of absence, accommodations, and leave laws • Strong communication skills with a customer service focus • Experience in high-volume case management, including complex case management and return-to-work program administration • Prior experience in disability accommodations, ADA compliance, or workplace accessibility • Experience working with corporate or professional employee populations in a large, fast-paced organization • Familiarity with internal accommodation case management platforms and related HR systems • Understanding of medical documentation review, including interpreting physician notes related to functional limitations and work restrictions • Experience providing stakeholder consulting and coaching to HR partners and people leaders on accommodation and leave matters • Experience identifying training needs and supporting or delivering group training sessions • Ability to analyze regional data to identify trends in volume, case types, and approvals and translate findings into actionable recommendations • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to propose creative, compliant accommodation solutions • Ability to collaborate effectively with legal, disability vendors, and leave case managers on escalated and complex cases
