📋 Description

• Build and support core platform capabilities, user-facing experiences, and backend services • Design and deliver event-driven, integration-heavy backend systems with asynchronous pipelines and reliable delivery patterns • Own reliability and production-grade behavior, including safe shutdown and edge-case handling • Debug issues across distributed systems • Improve platform performance and data integrity through database design and query/index optimization in non-relational datastores • Build secure, compliant integrations and user experiences • Deliver UX improvements that reduce friction and increase clarity • Collaborate with Product, QA, Design, and engineering teams on roadmap items and high-severity fixes • Raise engineering standards through code review and technical mentorship • Support planning, design, testing, launch, and production operations

🎯 Requirements

• 3+ years of professional experience as a Backend Software Engineer, or Full Stack Software Engineer with a strong backend focus • 3+ years of experience designing and building scalable APIs, microservices, or distributed systems • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field • Strong backend development experience, ideally with Python and/or TypeScript • Ability to write extendable, maintainable, and traceable code with clean abstractions • Experience with REST APIs, webhooks, third-party services, and failure/edge-case handling • Proficiency with asynchronous programming, concurrency, and scalable backend services • Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, software design, and production systems • Understanding of cloud-native architecture and code design patterns • Experience with production operations and observability using logs, metrics, and traces • Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills across distributed systems, networking, and production environments • Experience with real-time multimedia telephony/VOIP architecture and SIP and RTP/SRTP • Experience with WebRTC and WebSockets • Familiarity with AI coding agents such as Claude Code or Cursor • Experience with LiveKit is a plus • Low-latency or real-time workload optimization experience is a plus
