📋 Description

• Build industry-specific GPTs that encode domain expertise for each operating vertical • Embed AI-native functionality into AI-native systems of record and replace core workflows • Migrate datasets from legacy systems of record into new AI-native systems • Create a repeatable AI playbook, model stack, evaluation harness, and infrastructure for future portfolio companies • Ship a working domain-specific agent into a live customer environment within the first 30 days • Build evaluation infrastructure to measure whether agents replace human workflows • Fine-tune, distill, or route across frontier and open models based on vertical economics • Observe customer workflows, instrument them, and rebuild them • Manage AI talent across operating companies as a player-coach • Spend approximately 90% of time building and 10% managing • Work in the codebase daily

🎯 Requirements

• Demonstrated ability to build and ship products used by real people, independently or as the clear technical lead • Forward-deployed engineering experience, including willingness to fly to customer sites and work from their offices • Strong judgment on when to fine-tune, prompt, use RAG, agents, or evaluation harnesses, supported by quantitative reasoning • Production experience with frontier and open models, including Claude, GPT, and Gemini • Ability to work comfortably with ambiguity, small teams, and unglamorous industries • GitHub link required • Resume required • List of 3–5 independently or primarily self-built projects required • Demonstrated solo or lead building ability required
