📋 Description

• Report to the Supervisor of Operation Specialist • Work closely with Avantor Lab and Production Services professionals to perform customized, mission-based lab work and research protocols • Support multiple facilities and/or customers in a strategic geographic area • Perform Coordinator, Technician, Material Handler, and Glass Washer functions during vacations, leave, or emergencies • Act as backup to other territories and travel outside the designated territory as needed • Coordinate and lead team efforts related to customer requirements • Work with management on Standard Operating Procedures, Scopes of Work, Standard Work, On-the-Job Training, and other tasks • Interface with customer points of contact, purchasing directors, facility directors, and plant managers • Procure lab supplies and materials • Utilize Avantor and customer systems including SAP, Inventory Manager, Chemical Manager, and customer-specific applications • Train Avantor Lab and Production Services associates on service offerings • Provide SAP support, including full customer services, credit rebills, and invoice scrubbing • Modify and maintain quality metrics and key performance indicators • Manage a budget related to expense reports • Meet revenue, TOE, safety, performance, and quality goals and objectives • Create programs for enhanced service efficiencies • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• High school diploma or GED is required • 3+ years of experience in inventory control, procurement, shipping and receiving, inside sales, etc. is a plus • Microsoft Suite experience • Must reside in the Greater Boston area • Must be responsible for traveling between multiple locations in New Jersey • Must be able to travel outside of New England up to 5% of the time • Overnight travel is required • Must be able to use your own vehicle • Ability to fly for longer-distance travel • Sites where coverage is provided require associates to be fully vaccinated and boosted against COVID-19 • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs • Previous experience working in a GMP facility is strongly desired • Strong communication skills • Knowledge of Information Access and System ESS • Valid driver's license required to perform essential job functions • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines • Cross-referencing and inside sales experience are a plus • CDL is a plus, not a requirement • Forklift Certification is a plus • Prior experience with VWR/Avantor products and services is a plus • IATA, DOT, OSHA Right to Know, and IMDG knowledge is a plus
