Aviation is the Ministry of Civil Aviation (MoCA), Government of India, responsible for formulating national policies and programmes for the development and regulation of civil aviation in India. It develops policy and legislative frameworks for orderly growth of air transport, airport infrastructure and related aviation services, and oversees initiatives and schemes such as UDAN, Digi Yatra, Air Suvidha, Digital Sky and hub-and-spoke operations. The organisation also covers aviation safety, security, accident investigation, training, maintenance/overhaul and airport development.
