📋 Description

• Perform Tier 1/2 cybersecurity help desk technician duties, including initial customer contact, issue identification, troubleshooting, and ticket resolution. • Vet and review software for inclusion on or exclusion from the production network. • Perform security posture checks and remediate vulnerabilities. • Assist with risk assessment, system and communication analysis, and development of compliance processes and documentation, including RMF, NIST SP 800-171, and CMMC. • Escalate issues to the appropriate engineer or manager when appropriate. • Maintain and develop Information Security Team process documentation. • Provide customer service and inter-departmental support. • Analyze email and communicate with the Cyberoperations team regarding suspicious communications. • Support and collaborate with IT and other teams as needed. • Manage workload independently, monitor priorities, streamline processes, build capabilities, and help optimize the environment.

🎯 Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship required. • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field – or equivalent work experience. • Have active Security+ certification, or be required to obtain it within six months of onboarding. • Solid understanding of multiple cybersecurity domains in terms of implementation and documentation. • Strong English language skills, both verbal and written. • Excellent communication skills and customer service. • Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks and regulatory requirements, including NIST SP 800-171, CMMC, and ISO 27001. • Strong time/task management skills. • Able to work independently and manage multiple ongoing tasks efficiently. • Willingness to learn and contribute. • 1–3 years of progressive experience in information security, cybersecurity, or equivalent roles. • Active A+ and/or Net+ certifications or equivalent. • Knowledge of Linux configurations and security. • Experience with Microsoft Defender, Sentinel, network mapping, and vulnerability analysis. • Experience leveraging scripts, automation, and/or data analysis in cybersecurity. • Must be able to travel within the Continental U.S. when required. • Must qualify as a U.S. person under ITAR/EAR requirements or be eligible for an export license.
