📋 Description

• Act as the technical lead for Marvell’s switching, PHY, and processor SoC products, focusing on hardware aspects • Serve as a resident expert and technical support resource for Avnet's customer base • Understand Marvell networking products and how they should be used • Understand customer technical requirements/specifications and architect optimum Marvell-based device solutions • Participate in field investigations of complex hardware/software issues and replicate them in the Marvell lab • Provide software and system-level hardware technical support, including Linux BSP, U-Boot boot loader, device drivers, and board design debug issues • Perform schematic reviews • Identify, analyze, and resolve customer issues/bugs using low-level debuggers and boot sequencing • Assist customers with feature implementation at API, system architecture, or platform level • Act as technical liaison between Avnet FAE and Marvell applications engineering teams for escalation and resolution • Participate in Marvell AE training events • Prepare and train FAEs and/or customers

🎯 Requirements

• Experience with embedded system hardware (Network SOC’s, switches, PHYs, SerDes, PCIe, XAUI, SGMII, DDR, etc) • Experience programming boot devices such as (IP/NAND) Flash, EEPROMs • Working knowledge of peripherals such as Flash devices (NAND/eMMC/SPI), SDIO, HS USB, GE, Serial, I2C, SPI, etc. • Experience debugging with protocol analyzers (e.g. Wireshark) and Ethernet Traffic Generators/Testers (e.g. IXIA) • Strong Ethernet networking background, including TSN, AVB, IEEE 1588, TCP/IP, UDP, ARP, DHCP, ICMP, etc. • Team attitude and ability to work independently for extended periods of time • Some travel to customer sites may be required • Ability to work effectively under pressure • Strong time management and task switching skills • Ability to work without appreciable direction using independent judgment and discretion • Previous Applications / Field Applications Engineering experience a plus • 6-9 years with bachelors' or equivalent combination of formal education and directly related experience • 4-7 years with master's • Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent technical education • Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.; Avnet is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa
