📋 Description

• Own and accelerate permitting for Axon’s ALPR infrastructure deployments • Eliminate permitting roadblocks and guide customers through regulatory hurdles • Standardize scalable workflows for compliant, high-velocity U.S. installations • Build and maintain relationships with permitting and zoning officials nationwide • Interpret, anticipate, and influence local and regional permitting dynamics • Serve as regulatory liaison between Axon and Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs) • Own end-to-end permitting workflows across multiple states and municipalities • Design, implement, and maintain scalable tracking and reporting tools • Optimize permitting timelines against ALPR project schedules • Identify permitting barriers and implement mitigation strategies • Translate NEC, NFPA, and local zoning codes into deployment requirements • Partner with compliance and legal teams to maintain audit-ready documentation and approvals • Collaborate with engineering, deployment, legal, and customer success teams • Provide permitting forecasts and impact guidance to project teams • Advocate for permitting considerations during early-stage project planning

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years managing infrastructure, utility, or construction permitting in enterprise or public-sector environments • Demonstrated expertise with NEC, NFPA, zoning, and environmental regulations • Track record of influencing internal stakeholders and external regulators • Certifications such as PMP, ICC Permit Technician, OSHA 30, NFPA, or LEED preferred • Proficiency in GIS, CAD, Asana, and permit tracking systems • Strong analytical, documentation, and process-building capabilities • Proven ability to lead in complex, multi-jurisdictional environments • Large-scale permitting leadership across jurisdictions • Advanced risk management and issue resolution • Experience with permitting workflows for high-volume infrastructure rollouts • Proficiency in Smartsheet, Excel, and Asana • Skilled communication across technical and government audiences • Ability to secure buy-in and resolve conflicts with AHJs • Experience collaborating across engineering, legal, compliance, and field teams • Readiness for fast-paced environments and change agility • GIS, CAD, and blueprint interpretation • Experience with permit and document control systems
