📋 Description

• Define Backblaze B2's developer presence in the agentic stack • Work with the internal AI team to define and execute an agent-ready strategy across engineering, documentation, and content • Coordinate engineering, docs, content, solutions engineering, and other teams around a unified developer strategy • Share developer strategy outputs with the broader world • Build credibility in GitHub, Discord, open source projects, developer events, and AI infrastructure tooling communities • Elevate internal technical voices and develop thought leadership • Partner with ecosystem players • Maintain a feedback loop from developers to product and engineering • Surface adoption friction, unmet integration needs, and emerging priorities • Use the Flamethrower Startup Program as a source of early-adopter feedback • Define success metrics including developer signups, activation rates, B2 adoption in AI frameworks, community engagement, and content reach • Connect awareness metrics to revenue and conversion • Start as an individual contributor with influence across existing company resources

🎯 Requirements

• Meaningful DevRel, developer marketing, or developer experience leadership at a cloud infrastructure, open source, or AI tooling company • Built or significantly grown a developer program • Understanding of how agentic workflows are reshaping developer discovery and infrastructure integration • Technical credibility: ability to read a codebase, evaluate an SDK, write a working integration, and discuss engineering tradeoffs • Experience as a software engineer or in a closely related technical role • Experience working or starting without a large team • Strong communication skills with developers and leadership • Existing presence in developer communities, such as a following, conference talks, open source contributions, or a technical blog • Direct experience with model training, data processing, or generative media is a strong plus • Familiarity with coding agents such as Claude Code, Cursor, and Copilot is a strong plus • Experience with open source AI/ML frameworks such as MLflow, DVC, Ray Data, WebDataset, and MosaicML Streaming is a strong plus • Prior startup or developer program experience is a strong plus
