📋 Description

• Architect, implement, support, monitor, and troubleshoot the Firm's LAN/WAN infrastructure • Provide Tier 3 end-user support for more than 1,800 users across 18 or more geographic locations • Support a Service Level Agreement covering uptime and performance commitments • Establish and maintain system standards, including documentation, configuration, and implementation • Establish and maintain procedures for performance optimization, backup and recovery, and growth planning • Test and evaluate new hardware, software, and upgrades as directed by management • Oversee Network Specialists and Engineers performing switching and routing work • Act as technical contact for vendors regarding the Firm's networked systems and applications • Design, implement, and support system security, including firewalls and Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) • Design, implement, and support telephony systems • Design, implement, and support user remote access methods • Design, implement, and support data backup and recovery methodologies and processes • Maintain proper documentation for all aspects of the Firm's infrastructure systems • Maintain a general understanding of the Firm's software application systems • Maintain current product knowledge of relevant infrastructure software and hardware

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree and 4 years of experience; equivalent combination of education, training and experience may substitute for education requirement • Ability to provide Tier 3 end user support for more than 1,800 users in 18 or more geographic locations • Knowledge of LAN/WAN infrastructure, Intel servers, network security, remote access, and voice/data communications • Ability to establish and maintain system standards, documentation, configurations, and implementations • Ability to establish and maintain procedures for performance optimization, backup and recovery, and growth planning • Ability to test and evaluate hardware, software, and upgrades • Knowledge of switching and routing • Knowledge of networked systems and applications • Experience with firewalls and Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) • Knowledge of telephony systems • Knowledge of user remote access methods • Knowledge of data backup and recovery methodologies and processes • General understanding of software application systems • Up-to-date product knowledge of pertinent infrastructure software and hardware • Interpersonal communication skills for working with attorneys, clients, and staff in person, by email, and telephone • Ability to work with probability, statistical inference, fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions • Ability to interpret technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form • Ability to creatively diagnose and solve complex hardware, software, and end-user problems • Proven ability to lead and build consensus among peers and staff • Ability to operate standard office equipment, including computers, copy machines, and facsimile machines • Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
