• Schedule patient appointments for diagnostic, surgical, therapy, physician office visits, and other procedures/treatments • Obtain and verify demographic and insurance information • Register patients and enter data into the scheduling system • Work in a call center type environment • Meet individual quality metrics • Provide professional, compassionate, and friendly service to patients of all ages, families, employees, physicians, and community members
• High School, Cert, GED, Trn, or equivalent experience • Complete and pass the Patient Access training course • Ability to work in a high volume, fast-paced work environment • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations • Detail oriented and organized • Team player • Compassionate, with excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills • Basic knowledge of medical and insurance terminology desired • Experience with computer applications, including Microsoft Office and EMR applications • Accurate typing skills • Knowledge of HIPAA, AHCA, EMTALA, and Medicare coverage structure, including medical necessity compliance guidelines • Bilingual English, Spanish/Creole preferred
