📋 Description

• Guide the Accounting and accounting operations teams through month-end close, ensuring revenue and costs are accurately recorded • Prepare, review, and approve journal entries • Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations • Identify opportunities to shorten the close process • Partner with FP&A and tax on month-end reports and close deliverables • Mentor and lead the Accounting team, supporting career development and removing roadblocks • Lead the annual audit with internal and external auditors • Coordinate preparation of U.S. GAAP financial statements, footnotes, and external reporting deliverables • Analyze, research, and document accounting guidance for complex topics including equity, share-based compensation, leases, revenue recognition, and business combinations • Prepare accounting memos and review accounting implications with auditors • Identify and implement process improvements, including AI tools and automation • Own the hierarchy, scalability, and accuracy of the chart of accounts, general ledger, and financial statements • Serve as liaison with FP&A on monthly and annual budget forecasts • Manage and mentor the Accounting team across general ledger accounting, technical accounting, financial reporting, audit support, process documentation and improvement, and SOX compliance

🎯 Requirements

• Comprehensive knowledge of U.S. GAAP • Active CPA license • Confidence communicating financial results and accounting implications to relevant stakeholders • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and partner with management to establish appropriate deadlines • Strong organizational and prioritization skills • Ability to work independently and collaborate cross-functionally to meet deadlines • Understanding of internal controls and experience creating process documentation • 2+ years of experience managing an accounting team • 8+ years of accounting experience • Experience using AI tools, such as Microsoft Copilot or similar large language models • Thoughtful approach to collaboration, process design, and decision-making that prioritizes equity, access, and continuous learning • Commitment to creating inclusive, respectful environments where all voices are valued and supported • Experience in AdTech industry (bonus) • Prior remote work experience (bonus) • Prior remote management experience (bonus) • Experience using NetSuite (bonus) • Experience implementing AI agents or automations into workflows (bonus)
