📋 Description

• Own the overall care of full-charge bookkeeping and finance processes for 10–20 clients • Manage invoicing, bill-pay, payroll processing, monthly close, sales tax, and year-end preparation • Schedule and delegate tasks to the support team • Review team work and coach team members • Answer questions warmly and clearly • Act as the primary client contact • Answer client questions and advise on process improvements • Review potential clients’ books to identify errors and support accurate pricing of new engagements • Craft onboarding plans for new clients • Delegate and manage cleanup and onboarding work after clients sign • Oversee cloud accounting tasks across varied clients and industries

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years remotely managing multiple clients in multiple industries from end to end • Experience with process implementation and improvement, onboarding and clean-up, financial reporting and interpretation • Extensive experience running payroll, closing monthly books, and creating processes for cash- and accrual-basis clients • 4+ years in QBO, BILL, Gusto, and other common cloud accounting software • Strong accrual knowledge • Experience managing full accrual accounting processes • Experience maintaining detailed and audit-ready schedules for non-bank balance sheet accounts • Experience pulling data from external systems to complete the monthly close • Higher-education accounting or finance degree • Experience at a CPA firm or public accounting experience is a plus • Excellent communication skills across digital channels • Keen attention to detail • Resourcefulness and problem-solving ability • Openness to coaching and critiques • Excellent coaching skills and desire to teach and mentor junior staff • Joy and positive attitude in communications • Persistence and ability to politely remind others to stay on track • Strong, reliable home internet connection • Environment conducive to video and phone calls • Availability five days a week within standard professional hours • Must work on a W2 basis and track time by client and type of work • Cannot engage in additional paid accounting or bookkeeping work outside System Six • Position available to US-based individuals
