📋 Description

• Communicate with professional clients and coordinate complex cases • Relay abnormal or intricate genetic testing results • Critically review test orders and laboratory reports for accuracy and precision • Facilitate complex-case management between internal teams and external clients • Act as liaison between professional clients and laboratory teams • Educate and support professional trainees, including genetic counseling students • Contribute to new test development, policies, and procedures • Collaborate on professional manuscripts and presentations related to genetics

🎯 Requirements

• Master of Science or Master of Arts in Genetic Counseling from an ACGC-accredited program or equivalent • Board certified or Board eligible in Genetic Counseling by ABMG or ABGC • Experience in clinical or laboratory genetics preferred (1+ years) • In-depth knowledge of clinical and laboratory genetics and related resources • Excellent oral and written communication skills • Superior organizational skills and attention to detail • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within laboratory teams • Fundamental understanding of laws governing laboratory functions • Proficiency in computer skills, including database management and electronic medical records • Ability to sit frequently • Ability to frequently utilize hand and finger dexterity • Ability to talk or hear frequently
