📋 Description

• Provide legal support to the Arrowhead Intermediaries platform across its wholesale, programs, and specialty divisions • Assist with legal, regulatory, contract, governance, and operational matters related to specialty distribution insurance operations • Analyze legal and compliance matters related to strategic initiatives, including new product development, program launches, cross-border projects, and M&A • Draft, review, and negotiate routine and complex contracts, including insurance distribution and commercial agreements • Collaborate with business, operations, compliance, IT, finance, tax, team resources, and leadership teams • Research and monitor applicable insurance laws, regulations, and regulatory developments • Assist with pre-litigation matters, claims, disputes, subpoenas, regulatory inquiries, and internal investigations • Support corporate governance, entity management, internal policies, ethics, and compliance initiatives • Collaborate with enterprise partners including privacy, technology, regulatory, and litigation counsel • Escalate significant legal, regulatory, or business risk matters to the Chief Counsel or appropriate Legal Department leader

🎯 Requirements

• Active license to practice law and membership in good standing with at least one U.S. state bar • Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school • At least 7 years of legal experience focused on general corporate and transactional matters • Three to five years of in-house experience at an insurance carrier, MGA, MGU, insurance brokerage, wholesale brokerage, or with a law firm advising (re)insurance clients • Carrier or MGA experience is required • Strong knowledge of US admitted and E&S market regulation • Working knowledge of US cybersecurity, privacy, and AI regulation • Familiarity with Bermuda, UK and EU (re)insurance regulatory regimes helpful • Strong drafting, legal research, analytical, negotiation, and communication skills • Ability to work independently while appropriately escalating issues to senior legal counsel • Ability to partner effectively with business leaders and cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, decentralized environment • High level of discretion and ability to maintain confidentiality • Ability to travel 10–25% as needed for projects, meetings, or visits to supported Profit Centers
