📋 Description

• Act as the bridge between Finance, Operations, and Technology to drive end-to-end business solutions • Serve as a strategic partner in financial transformation initiatives • Lead business analysis across complex, cross-functional initiatives involving finance, MGA operations, and premium accounting • Propose and shape scalable future-state solutions with financial integrity • Influence work prioritization based on business value, risk, and urgency • Provide guidance and mentorship to other analysts • Ensure solutions align with accounting principles, including revenue recognition and reporting accuracy • Support month-end and quarter-end reporting cycles through proactive problem-solving • Participate in system evaluation meetings with business teams, vendors, leadership, and project teams • Interpret products and project objectives • Identify and propose changes to inefficient, ineffective, costly, or time-sensitive systems and workflows • Develop or lead department policies, processes, procedures, and documentation • Create training materials for insurance and financial workflows • Provide strategic workflow and direction feedback to the Director of Financial Projects, Project Manager, and business and finance leaders • Coordinate with leaders and vendors on issues, quality problems, and corrective actions • Collaborate within large departmental and cross-functional teams to solve multifaceted business issues

🎯 Requirements

• College degree required • 7–10 years’ business or leadership experience • Excellent verbal and writing skills • Strong math skills and familiarity • Basic understanding of managing full life cycle software development projects using structured project management processes • Basic understanding of programming and concepts • Ability to communicate technical information, both verbal and written, to a wide range of teammates • Demonstrated expertise in accounting/finance, including premium accounting and GAAP • Confident working with individuals at all levels of an organization in a consultative manner • Process and workflow development and leadership experience • Ability to effectively coach and mentor associates • Pursuit of technical education required • Available to travel approximately 5–10% • CPA or equivalent accounting certification preferred, but not required • Insurance certifications preferred, but not required (AAI, CIC, ARM, etc.)
