📋 Description

• Partner closely with Software and Firmware Engineering leaders to manage Cloud, Cellular, and AI vendor spend • Analyze financial results and prepare monthly and quarterly management reporting • Support financial review meetings with R&D and Finance leadership • Partner with Accounting on month-end close activities, cost classification, and reporting requests • Collaborate with R&D teams to drive AOP planning • Improve the accuracy and scalability of financial reporting and forecasting models • Develop mechanisms, analyses, and KPIs to inspect business performance • Leverage AI tools to streamline financial reporting, forecasting, and ad hoc analysis workflows • Champion and embed Samsara’s cultural principles as the company scales globally

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field • High aptitude and enthusiasm for complex problem solving utilizing financial modeling and analysis • Advanced Excel and Google Sheets skills • Experience at a high-growth tech company • Ability to work collaboratively and cross-functionally in a fast-paced, often changing environment • Strong communication and presentation skills; comfortable presenting to senior management • Proactive and highly organized self-starter, able to work independently under tight deadlines while maintaining attention to detail • Familiarity with AWS cloud cost and general SaaS cost management • Proficiency with AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Glean, and Cursor • Proficiency with Databricks and FP&A tools such as Workday Adaptive Planning or similar planning systems and NetSuite • Prior partnership with software engineering teams
