📋 Description

• Attend to service needs of BD Advanced Diagnostics customers within the assigned geographic territory and nationally as needed • Perform installations, maintenance, upgrades, and repairs using electronic and computer skills • Service BD COR, Kiestra, Microbiology, Molecular, and LC/MS laboratory systems • Collaborate across service and support teams to drive field service revenue through billable offerings • Present completed work to customers and provide follow-up plans when needed • Proactively schedule and complete system upgrades with customers • Report and document customer complaints in appropriate systems for resolution and investigation • Maintain spare parts inventory, company-issued vehicle, laptop, tools, test devices, and assigned equipment • Use company credit card responsibly within business guidelines • Conduct scheduled and unscheduled visits, overnight stays, and occasional national travel • Participate in weekend/holiday on-call rotation approximately every 6 weeks • Maintain professional appearance • Participate in vendor credentialing programs and complete requirements for customer facility access

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Electronic Technology, Computer Science, Biomedical or related disciplines OR 10+ years of relevant experience in troubleshooting and/or repair of complex systems • Understanding of electronics, electro-mechanical devices (Mechatronics), PLCs, and pneumatics • Intermediate knowledge of information systems networking architecture design and setup • Intermediate understanding of computer operating systems • Ability to communicate with customer IT personnel and laboratory leadership • Valid driver's license with at least 3 years of driving history • Availability to work flexible hours • Ability to travel up to 50% outside the home geographic area • Ability to participate in on-call support as needed • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs frequently and 70 lbs infrequently • Ability to push/pull materials up to 100 lbs • Ability to stand, bend, and stoop for up to 10 hours • Adherence to company Personal Protective Equipment standards and guidelines • Real ID required • Ability to pass respirator fit test and annual spirometry if required • Preferred: Expertise in Robotics • Preferred: Experience with Liquid Chromatography (LC) and Mass Spec (MS) instrumentation • Preferred: Knowledge of Lab Information Systems (LIS) and database management • A+, Microsoft or Cisco accreditation advantageous • Understanding of basic computer security concepts and standard processes • Valid state-issued driver's license and BD auto safety standards
