📋 Description

• Provide remote and on-site technical support for BD automated dispensing systems across the assigned region • Support Department of Defense and Defense Health Agency facilities • Respond to, evaluate, prioritize, and resolve work orders within service-level expectations • Diagnose and repair proprietary hardware and software components with full case ownership • Troubleshoot complex issues and escalate to Senior or Lead Field Service Engineers as needed • Execute preventive maintenance programs • Perform installations, in-servicing, repairs, calibrations, and general technical support • Maintain accurate spare-parts inventory • Maintain company-issued vehicle, tools, and equipment • Build positive customer relationships through professional communication and timely support • Document service activities, expenses, and time logs using approved tools • Partner with Sales and Implementation teams on deployments and customer experience • Follow complaint-handling and Medical Device Reporting procedures • Ensure service documentation meets regulatory and corporate requirements • Uphold safety policies, quality expectations, and operational standards • Participate in ongoing training and stay informed on technologies, best practices, and system updates • Work independently and collaboratively to meet service goals • Support leadership with escalations, advanced troubleshooting, and case resolution

🎯 Requirements

• 1–3 years of combined hardware, software, and IT support experience • Associate degree in a related field or 3+ years of Field Service or Technical Support experience • Medical or electromechanical device repair experience required • Strong troubleshooting, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills • Excellent communication, customer service, and documentation abilities • Eligibility for access to Local, State, and/or Federal facilities, potentially including background investigations and required identification credentials or security badges • Ability to work independently, handle multiple priorities, and travel as required • Remote and on-site technical support for automated dispensing systems • Work-order evaluation, prioritization, and resolution • Diagnosis and repair of hardware/software components • Preventive maintenance, installations, repairs, and calibrations • Inventory management and adherence to company policy • Compliance with MDR and service procedures • 24×7 on-call service experience preferred • CompTIA A+ Certification or equivalent preferred • Mechanical aptitude and ability to disassemble/reassemble complex systems • Proficiency with Windows OS, networking, and diagnostic instruments • Ability to operate powered and manual hand tools • Ability to lift 85 lbs frequently and 115 lbs occasionally, including overhead lifts • Ability to climb, kneel, crawl, reach, grasp, stand, and walk for extended periods • Valid driver’s license and ability to meet company driving requirements • Daily car travel required, with occasional air travel and overnight stays • Availability for a 3 PM–midnight or 4 PM–1 AM shift, including on-call time
