📋 Description

• Lead, coach, and develop the Corporate Accounting Team • Conduct one-on-one meetings, performance coaching, and professional development conversations • Plan, prioritize, and delegate assignments while providing technical guidance • Establish departmental goals, metrics, and performance expectations • Develop and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls • Partner with the Director of Finance on strategic initiatives and departmental planning • Oversee the general ledger and accurate recording of financial transactions • Ensure balance sheet account reconciliations and own monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes • Monitor working capital accounts, including cash, receivables, payables, accrued liabilities, and fixed assets • Prepare monthly financial statements for leadership and shareholder reporting • Support budgeting, forecasting, cash management, and ad hoc financial analyses • Ensure compliance with GAAP and BELAY accounting policies • Oversee annual external audits and coordinate audit documentation • Maintain accounting systems, financial data, and system integrations • Monitor daily cash position and organizational liquidity • Provide accounting guidance and technical expertise to operational leaders • Partner with system administrators to implement enhancements and improve workflows

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience • 7–10+ years of progressive accounting experience with prior leadership responsibilities • Experience managing general ledger accounting, financial reporting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and month-end close processes • Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) • Experience leading accounting operations and improving financial processes • Demonstrated ability to coach, develop, and manage a high-performing team • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • High level of integrity and ability to manage confidential financial information • Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting systems • Dedicated home office and regular use of virtual collaboration tools • Work schedule aligned with BELAY's core collaboration hours • Must be authorized to work in the United States • Must currently reside in an Eastern or Central timezone • Cannot be hired in California, New York, Illinois, or Oregon
