📋 Description

• Handle the quality investigation, evaluation, negotiation and resolution of commercial general liability claims • Manage fast-track through litigated claims, including coverage issues, injuries, property damage and contractual liability exposures • Review new losses and manage coverage analysis, investigation, damages evaluation, reserving and resolution of non-litigated casualty claims • Manage bodily injury, auto material damage and total loss claims processes • Conduct vehicle appraisals, diminished value assessments, vendor network coordination, subrogation demands, salvage procedures and heavy equipment appraisals • Establish timely and accurate claim and expense reserves • Negotiate and convey claim settlements within authority limits • Participate in regional round table meetings as needed • Write Reservation of Rights, Coverage Denial and other complex correspondence • Maintain an effective diary system and document claim file activities according to established procedures • Manage file inventory to ensure timely case resolution • Handle files in compliance with state regulations • Provide customer service to insureds, agents and internal and external customers • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• 3-5 years’ casualty claim experience preferred • Excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational and presentation skills • Computer proficiency • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products • Knowledge of tort and contract law • Experience in auditing/reviewing casualty claim files • Independent adjusters licenses for Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee and/or ability to obtain licenses within 90 days of hire • BA/BS degree preferred or equivalent work experience • Sponsorship not offered for this role
