• Identify, establish, and maintain collaborative relationships with key investigators, institutions, groups, and consortia in strategic disease-state areas. • Provide fair/balanced education on investigational products and disease areas to the medical community. • Increase company visibility and enhance interactions with oncology leaders. • Participate in medical education for healthcare professionals, including formulary committees, through presentations. • Coordinate required education and training with clinical-site departments and personnel. • Identify clinical research opportunities aligned with company objectives. • Serve as primary territory contact for investigator-initiated research from concept submission through publication. • Identify and communicate clinical and research insights from oncology leaders to shape company research. • Maintain clinical and scientific expertise through training, conferences, workshops, and publications. • Gather and disseminate compliant competitive intelligence. • Mentor MSL team members and contribute to the cross-functional Medical Affairs team. • Execute administrative aspects of regional field activities. • Provide medical leadership for internal cross-functional programs and projects. • Respond to unsolicited medical-information requests in collaboration with Medical Information Services. • Complete accurate and timely reports, project plans, and required documentation. • Contribute to publication planning, slide-deck development, training initiatives, and the Medical Strategy Plan. • Lead national priority projects and cross-functional Medical Affairs initiatives. • Lead interactions for select priority projects with external collaborators or groups. • Coordinate with Medical Affairs Training on advanced training initiatives.
• Minimum five (5) years in Pharmaceutical Industry Medical Affairs as an MSL or Senior MSL • Solid tumor experience preferred • An advanced degree (M.D., Ph.D., or Pharm.D.) preferred • Prior experience in biotech/pharmaceutical or healthcare education environment • Ability to travel up to 65% of the time • Approximately 60–70% domestic travel required • Knowledge of treatment guidelines, including NCCN, ASCO, and ESMO • Knowledge of clinical research processes, FDA regulations, CMS reimbursement coverage processes, and OIG guidelines • Knowledge or experience in head and neck tumors/solid tumors is a plus • Ability to network and partner with medical thought leaders, academic institutions, large group practices, NCI Cooperative Group leadership and members, medical directors, insurance carriers, and pharmacy directors • Highly articulate and self-confident during formal and informal presentations • Ability to convey complex scientific ideas fluently to any audience
