📋 Description

• Monitor and investigate security alerts to detect malicious activity for clients during shifts in a 24x7x365 SOC • Perform Cyber Kill Chain and MITRE ATT&CK analysis on incoming security alerts • Follow documented procedures to triage and respond to malicious activity, including escalation or remediation actions • Provide clients with clear and concise written investigations in the Binary Defense service management system • Communicate and collaborate with clients throughout escalated security investigations • Contribute to security operations across the Binary Defense client portfolio • Participate in shift handovers, team meetings, and knowledge transfer • Complete regular training on current technologies and methodologies • Stay up to date on vulnerabilities, threats, and attacks worldwide • Interface regularly with shift mates and colleagues

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in cyber security or equivalent work experience • 1+ years Security Operations or equivalent experience • Familiarity with the principles of network and endpoint security, current threats, vulnerabilities, and attack trends • Working knowledge of security principles and frameworks such as Cyber Kill Chain and MITRE ATT&CK • Competent to work at a high technical level and capable of identifying threats and attack vectors • One or more Cybersecurity certifications • Excellent written and oral communication skills • Previous work or classroom experience with SIEM platforms such as AlienVault USM Anywhere or Appliance, Splunk, IBM QRadar, and Microsoft Sentinel • Previous work or classroom experience with Endpoint Protection platforms such as CrowdStrike, Carbon Black, SentinelOne, and Cybereason • Willingness to learn and continually improve skills • Willingness to work shifts in a 24x7x365 SOC
