• Drive company growth and market presence in bioanalytical science and services • Identify, cultivate, and secure strategic business relationships within East Coast territories in the US • Lead negotiations, define strategic initiatives, and expand existing partnerships • Collaborate with the scientific office, operations team, marketing staff, and business development professionals to maximize revenue and achieve organizational goals • Meet or exceed revenue targets in assigned East Coast territories, including In-Year Revenue, Pipeline, and Backlog Targets • Identify key decision-makers within targeted organizations and establish long-term relationships leading to signed contracts • Manage the entire sales life cycle through project engagement and customer maintenance with personalized service • Prospect, identify, qualify, and prioritize new business leads • Drive prospective customers to participate in capabilities presentations • Develop and maintain a full business pipeline and manage the assigned territory • Provide timely and accurate reporting of pipeline, account plans, and territory activities • Maintain knowledge of competitors’ offerings • Mentor other team members • Identify, lead, and/or engage in strategic global business development and process-improvement projects
• Full knowledge of large molecule bioanalytical services and market • Proven track record in closing deals and driving significant top line revenue • Ability to build relationships through professional sales and interpersonal skills with a disciplined and organized approach • Demonstrated entrepreneurial work ethic • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills • Ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of people in a professional manner, face to face, on the telephone and in writing • Strong interpersonal skills, resulting in excellent rapport with colleagues; proven success in initiating, promoting, and maintaining communication among teams • Excellent presentation and negotiating skills • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) • Ability to travel domestically • Bachelor’s degree in a science-related field (molecular biology, biochemistry, immunology, biotechnology), business administration, or related field • Not less than eight (8) years’ experience in business development, account management, or a related field, with a strong focus on supporting a CRO, CMO, or drug development organization. • Established sales experience in life science industry and/or working knowledge of small & large molecule bioanalytical services and market is a plus • This position requires frequent domestic and international travel.
