📋 Description

• Manage safety, food safety, and quality assurance programs for club team members and members in the regional market • Provide education and training on BJ’s safety and food safety standards and regulatory compliance • Follow up on accidents in real time and gather relevant information with the Investigations team • Collaborate with clubs on safety and food safety incidents, including power and refrigeration outages and safety violations • Conduct safety and food safety assessments at each location in the market • Work with club management on long-term solutions to remediate concerns • Support clubs with emergencies by being on call 24/7 • Work with chemical and pest vendors to ensure regulatory compliance • Participate in training classes and partner with management on onboarding new team members • Build relationships to ensure a safe shopping and working environment • Maintain awareness and understanding of regulatory changes

🎯 Requirements

• 2+ years of food quality assurance and/or safety experience in retail, food manufacturing, food services, or as a public health officer • B.S. in Occupational Health and Safety, Food Science, Human Nutrition, Microbiology, or another Biological Science degree is preferred • Knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local regulations and industry best practices related to food standards, safety, and quality assurance • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel • Detailed oriented with excellent organizational and interpersonal skills • Ability to clearly communicate expectations and problem solve • Ability to work proactively with regulatory authorities and respond to inspections within the market • ServSafe Certified Instructor/Proctor certification preferred • OSHA 10-Hour/30-Hour certification preferred • Ability to travel 70–80% with occasional overnight travel
