• Develop and execute safety strategies and operations directly related to organization-wide environmental health and safety programs. • Work closely with internal and external key stakeholders to drive the safety culture and improve business performance. • Provide overall leadership, professional knowledge, and expertise in administering and supporting EHS processes. • Provide expertise and strategy in the design, development, and implementation of the environmental health and safety program required to achieve business goals and results. • Lead the strategy and execution of the safety program to prioritize safety and improve EHS metrics. • Develop and implement safety policies, procedures, training, and programs based on risk assessments, safety regulations, client needs, and company standards. • Recommend necessary changes to policies and programs requiring modification. • Ensure compliance with OSHA and other regulatory agencies, including completing regulatory inspections and liaising with regulatory agencies. • Collaborate on the development of project-specific safety plans. • Develop a subcontractor safety management system.
• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, Construction Management, or related field required. • 10 or more years of progressive HSE experience with at least 7 years in leadership roles within utility-scale natural gas power generation, heavy industrial, or EPC field execution. • Expert knowledge of OSHA 1910/1926, NFPA 70E, ANSI, EPA, and DOT standards. • Proven success leading subcontractor and multi-employer HSE programs. • Strong communication and negotiation skills in client and legal contract environments. • Ability to use safety analytics and predictive data to drive strategy. • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills with all organizational levels. • Proficiency in MS Office, Power BI, and safety management systems. • Visionary, credible leader who drives alignment between safety, operations, and performance. • Empathetic and accountable communicator who fosters psychological safety. • Data-driven decision-maker who transforms lessons learned into system improvements. • Collaborative partner and trusted advisor across corporate and field leadership. • Must have valid driver’s license and the ability to maintain an acceptable driving record in order to travel as needed. • Regular travel required. • Demonstrated ability to build and develop the safety program within the gas power generation sector, or similar.
