📋 Description

• Work within the Monitoring, Evaluation, & Quality Improvement team designing, managing, and delivering data-driven projects for public health agencies • Lead or co-lead larger technical and advisory projects and contribute to project design • Independently drive work with minimal day-to-day/project oversight • Manage projects to exemplary client satisfaction • Contribute to and/or lead proposals • Design, administer, and analyze internal assessments and surveys measuring health equity, cultural and linguistic responsiveness, and related program standards • Conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis of assessment, survey, social determinants of health, and community needs data • Produce clear findings at program, department, and system levels • Design and refine evaluation approaches and frameworks for tracking health equity outcomes over time • Help partners translate findings into concrete quality improvement steps • Communicate findings through presentations, summary tables, data visualizations, analytic reports, and executive summaries • Design and administer workforce and program surveys tied to strategic equity initiatives • Collect, validate, manage, and analyze implementation data, including strategy highlights, process measures, and performance indicators • Develop and maintain reporting systems and dashboards monitoring progress toward health equity goals • Support performance measurement frameworks and implementation metrics • Align data collection, reporting, and evaluation activities across initiatives • Integrate equity standards and performance measures into agency and vendor activities as appropriate • Develop tools, templates, and guidance documents strengthening client capacity for performance measurement, data reporting, and evaluation • Provide planning, facilitation, meeting documentation, and technical assistance for data, evaluation, and performance measurement activities • Prepare written deliverables, including data summaries, evaluation reports, dashboards, presentations, and policy or procedural documents • Collaborate with BME colleagues to build client-capacity tools, templates, and guidance • May supervise Associates and Senior Associates • Perform other duties supporting BME’s mission and client commitments

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum of 4-6 years of relevant experience in applied public health required, including 2 or more years in a consulting firm environment • Master’s degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, Health Policy, or a related field • Minimum 1-4 years of client-facing experience • Demonstrated experience in program evaluation, survey research, epidemiology, or a related analytic role, with a focus on health equity measurement • Direct work experience within state, local, or federal health departments, or experience supporting these agencies as clients strongly preferred • Experience with racial equity or health equity-focused data work strongly preferred • Strong quantitative and qualitative analytic skills, including survey design and analysis • Proficient with data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Excel, R, Tableau, REDCap, or similar) • Exceptional organizational and time management skills; able to manage multiple concurrent deliverables • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for varied audiences • Skilled at guiding quality improvement sessions, evaluation discussions, and cross-team alignment meetings • Comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a remote, embedded-client environment • Familiarity with public health systems and practices at the state and local level • Understanding of evaluation frameworks, performance measurement, PDSA/QI (Plan-Do-Study-Act/Quality Improvement) methods, and health equity data practices • Familiarity with health equity standards, such as CLAS (Culturally and Linguistically Appropriate Services), and/or strategic plans to advance racial equity is a plus • Alignment with BME’s shared values • Must reside in the U.S.; BME Strategies is unable to sponsor work-related visas
