📋 Description

• Design and architect IT systems integrating processes, applications, data and technology • Ensure alignment with business goals and enterprise IT standards • Plan, solve problems and advise technical teams on strategic, operational, secure and economical solutions • Ensure integrated architecture across interdependent on-premises and cloud technology systems • Create and manage architecture assets for the designated portfolio and business scope • Create technical design recommendations for new products, services, applications and technology solutions • Identify technology solution and design risks or issues affecting project benefits • Guide stakeholders in resolving or mitigating project risks and delays • Participate in system specification reviews to translate requirements into valid software architecture • Research relevant technologies and perform proofs of concept and prototypes • Recommend technology applications for future product architecture • Deliver innovative solutions tailored to organizational needs • Provide architectural insights for business cases, including feasibility, risks and enterprise-strategy alignment • Maintain awareness of industry technical and business trends through professional associations, practice communities and individual learning • Oversee complex projects and cross-domain initiatives across several teams • Integrate diverse systems with overall business strategies and enterprise goals • Architect scalable, sustainable and compliant solutions • Operate at group/enterprise-wide level as a specialist resource to senior leaders and stakeholders • Address complex, ambiguous and non-routine problems creatively • Implement changes in response to shifting trends • Apply BMO’s Risk Management Framework and Risk Culture while protecting the bank and its assets • Perform other broader work or accountabilities as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Typically 7+ years of relevant experience • Post-secondary degree in a related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience • Seasoned professional with a combination of education, experience and industry knowledge • Advanced proficiency in critical thinking • Advanced proficiency in building and managing relationships • Advanced proficiency in adaptability • Advanced proficiency in banking operations • Advanced proficiency in risk assessment • Advanced proficiency in regulatory compliance management • Advanced proficiency in cloud architectures • Advanced proficiency in security architecture design • Advanced proficiency in technical architecture • Advanced proficiency in infrastructure development • Advanced proficiency in information technology strategies • Ability to make sound, risk-informed decisions aligned with business strategy • Adherence to applicable policies, laws and regulations
