• Drive demand for BMS cardiovascular medicines within the assigned portfolio for appropriate patients • Promote approved indications within a defined territory or region to meet or exceed assigned sales targets compliantly • Articulate the clinical and scientific rationale for product use in appropriate patients • Build and maintain professional credibility with regional thought leaders, community-based physicians/HCPs, private practices, medical groups, office staff, and other patient-care stakeholders • Engage HCPs through differentiated customer experiences and deeper scientific dialogue consistent with product labeling • Maintain and grow scientific expertise in assigned products and therapeutic areas • Prepare and implement comprehensive territory and account plans • Use tools such as SOPHIA to derive insights and inform call plans dynamically • Provide leadership feedback on tool experience to support continuous improvement • Present approved scientific resources and publications accurately to HCPs • Conduct in-office presentations, including lunch-and-learns • Organize external speaker programs, select approved speakers, and facilitate scheduling and logistics • Maintain working expertise on emerging data for approved indications • Use Medical on Call for unsolicited questions and complex technical inquiries • Collaborate with other field teams to deliver the best HCP customer experience • Gather and share insights internally with appropriate stakeholders • Comply with laws, regulations, and BMS policies
• Advanced scientific degree and/or preferred 5+ years of pharmaceutical or biotechnology experience as healthcare sales / MSL / HCP / nurse • Ability to communicate scientific or clinical data accurately and convincingly to physicians • Experience building and maintaining strong credibility with key customers, office staff, and others in the customer influence network • Experience in cardiovascular preferred • Strong account management skills • Superior selling competencies and proven sales performance track record of meeting or exceeding goals • Ability to work effectively cross-functionally • Strong selling and promotional skills with a track record of performance • Customer/commercial mindset and ability to drive business results • Experience identifying, engaging, and cultivating credibility with customers across the patient care journey • Problem-solving and account management skills • Understanding of the patient journey and ability to customize engagement and deliver tailored messages • Excellent communication and presentation skills for scientific and clinical data • Strong learning mindset and passion for science • Ability to analyze prescribing patterns, market trends, HCP preferences, clinical data, and BMS product data • Ability to segment HCPs based on preferences and relevant factors • Ability to use CE^3 to generate insights and perform dynamic call planning • Ability to use digital communication channels and technology effectively • Competency using CE^3 and other software or CRM tools to collect, enter, and manage quality data, track interactions, and plan engagements • Ability to use Medical on Call technology effectively • Strong business acumen • Learning agility • Integrity and good judgment to perform compliantly under BMS policies and procedures • Qualified Driver requirements: at least 21 years of age, a driver’s license in good standing issued by the state of residence, and an acceptable driving risk level
